HISTORY
Founders of the Company started the business of
wastewater treatment system in 1990, established the first WWTP
(wastewater treatment plant) based in ion-exchange technology and the
first centralized ion-exchange resin regeneration workshop in Hong Kong.
The process of this ion-exchange system was successfully and continuously
implemented for years. Compared to the conventional chemical
precipitation, this system got the merits of space saving and was proved
to be easy to operate and highly reliable in removal of heavy metals.
The Company installed WWTPs and pilot study for the well-known petroleum
and chemical tank farms such as Union Carbide Asia, Esso, and Caltex Oil,
(to name a few), in 1992.
In the same year, Company undertook to utilize ion-exchangers to treat the
printed circuit board (PCB) rinsing water. Nam Hing Circuit Board Limited
was the first PCB manufacturer successfully applying this treatment
technology. Nine months after the treatment plant was installed, when this
PCB manufacturer relocated from Hong Kong to the China mainland, they
insisted in moving their production lines together with our rinsing water
treatment facility in whole. They fully experienced the versatility of the
process of treatment by the ion-exchangers.
In the following years, various industrial sectors including manufacturers
of hot-dip galvanizes, paints and other electroplates and food processing
appreciated very much in employing company's unique and yet professional
service.
Company was incorporated as Prominent International (Environmental) Ltd in
1993, and continued to provide significant contributions to the industrial
sectors. Our performance was well accepted and was then receiving good
comments, many of which even further endorsed by the local government
authorities and industrialists.
To cope with the demand for air, water and wastewater treatment, company
designed and installed a specific treatment system for an multinational
firms.
Our products were designed not only for the local medium sized PCB
manufacturers but also for quality international electronic giants such as
Motorola, Philips, Meco and Possehl Besi Electronic Group. Company
succeeded in offering a treatment plant to Motorola Semiconductors Hong
Kong at Kwai Chung in 1995, worked with Motorola's very strong and
demanding engineering team and aimed at completing the most difficult
request of qualified wastewater discharge in environmental monitoring.
Undoubtedly, we were chosen because of our competitive edge in being able
to provide a professional service back up leading technology. The project
was completed only in eleven weeks despite the client's stringent plant
regulations, demanding technical details and compressed schedules. In
1998, Company undertook to modify Philips EDL's production facilities at
Kwai Chung by installing additional ion-exchangers for the existing
facilities, and committed in providing PBE-SEG an appropriate design of
treatment system for their new production plant at Futian, Shenzhen.
In 1994, company established a wholly own subsidiary in
the name of Enviro Labs Limited, offering commercial laboratory testing
services to help monitoring Hong Kong's environment.
In 1999, Company has gotten the ISO9001 Quality Assurance certification issued by Hong Kong Quality Assurance Association (HKQAA).

Company enjoyed a joint research and development effort from the affiliation with South China Development Company for Environmental Sciences & Technology (華南環境科技發展公司), a division of South China Institute for Environmental Sciences (華南環境科學研究所). This Institute is one of the three technical research subsidiaries of China National Environmental Protection Authority (中國國家環保局) specialized in strategic management in air, water and wastewater treatment or disinfections issues. In the southern part of China, they are the first organization awarded with grade "A" Certificates for environmental protection engineering contracts and are being authorized to handle approval of conceptual designs as well as final verdicts if dispute aroused.
In addition to the above affiliation, with National Environmental Technologies, Inc., a North Carolina, U.S. based, environmental technology development firm, Company signed a mutual agreement to exchange experience of expertise to be used in environmental protection engineering.
